POLICY ON REPAIR AND EVALUATION ON ELECTRONICS 10 YEARS OR OLDER

Due to the increasing limitations associated with aging electronics, we are unable to repair or evaluate components that are more than 10 years old. Over time, many electronic parts become obsolete or are no longer manufactured, making sourcing replacements extremely difficult or impossible. In addition, electronic components naturally degrade due to age-related factors such as capacitor leakage, solder joint fatigue, and internal corrosion, which can lead to unpredictable failures even if initial testing appears successful.

Attempting to service outdated electronics poses significant reliability and safety concerns and often results in repairs that are not economically viable or sustainable in the long term. For these reasons, we do not accept devices or components over 10 years old for repair or evaluation.

We recommend upgrading to newer systems or components (if available) that can be fully supported with current parts and tested according to modern standards.

UNDERSTANDING OEM LABELS

Parts built and tested by OEM Controls come with part identification labels. With these labels, customers can determine the following: part number, serial number, date of assembly, and date of QA test. Please refer to picture.
