DISABLED VETERAN – Any veteran who is entitled to compensation for a disability who has a disability rating of 30 percent or higher; or, a 10 to 20 percent disability rating if the disability has been classified as a serious employment handicap; or who was discharged or released from active military duty because of a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty.

RECENTLY SEPARATED VETERAN – A veteran who was discharged or released from active duty within the last three years.
OTHER ELIGIBLE VETERAN - A person who served in active duty during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge, a service medal, or an expeditionary medal has been authorized or awarded.
