BT100 CANPOD

The CANPOD is an edge device that captures and converts Bluetooth^® data to CAN messages. This device enables additional sensor data to the equipment Bus and telematics.

The CANPOD constantly scans for OEM Data Delivery’s BT Trackers, Tags, and Sensors. After BT capture, the device converts the data into the appropriate CAN data format. The data format is a low priority Type B PGN. The CANPOD manages the frequency of data transmission by “trickling” the data onto the telematic device or machine’s CAN Bus.

The telematics can be programmed to listen for the CANPOD specific PGN messages on the CAN Bus. Per the configuration, the data is routinely sent to the cloud for access through reports or APIs.

OEM DD BT Trackers are simple sensor or asset tracking devices. The asset devices can go on any, and all equipment attachments, & tools. The BT sensor devices have digital and analog inputs for a wide variety of sensors including fuel level, air filter flow, fuel dispensing, tilt, and temperature. Along with the DD Mobile apps, for phones and tablets, and BT Receivers, the CANPOD is another data capture device transmitting BT sensor data to the cloud.
